Gary Quinn is FalconStor's President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Quinn was appointed CEO in July of 2013 after joining the company in April 2012 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North America. In April 2013, he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previous roles included Executive Vice President of Global Partners and International Sales at CA Technologies until 2006, and Commissioner of Information Technology (CIO) at Suffolk County Department of Information Technology (DoIT) from 2008 – 2012.
During Mr. Quinn's tenure as CEO, FalconStor released FreeStor®, the company's flagship product. FreeStor has been recognized in the industry with many prestigious awards, such as Network Computing's Storage Product of the Year 2016, Storage Virtualization Product of the Year, Data Centre ICT Management Product of the Year, and Storage Magazine’s Product of the Year. FalconStor now serves more than 20 percent of the Global Fortune 500.
Mr. Quinn is a supporter of many charitable initiatives and is a 2016 gold winner of the prestigious CEO World Awards® in the category CEO of the Year. He is also a winner of the SmartCEO Long Island Corporate Culture Award 2016 . Mr. Quinn holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Hofstra University and lives on Long Island, New York with his wife and family.
Martin M. Hale, Jr.
Martin M. Hale, Jr., has served as the founder and CEO of Hale Capital Partners, LP, an investment firm that applies a private equity skill set and focus to investing in small and micro-cap public companies, since 2007. Mr. Hale has 19 years of experience in venture capital and private equity as a board member and an investor helping public and private companies grow. Mr. Hale currently serves as a director of Midway Gold Corporation. Mr. Hale’s past portfolio companies which he had also served as a director included Adept Technology, Inc., Flarion Corporation, Celiant Corporation, Analex Corporation, Aurora Flight Sciences, Vallent Corporation, Paradigm Holdings, LocationLogic LLC, United Silver Corp., and Telanetix. Before joining Hale Capital Partners, Mr. Hale was a Managing Director and a member of the founding team of Pequot Ventures, an associate at Geocapital Partners, and an analyst with Broadview International. Mr. Hale received a B.A. from Yale University. Mr. Hale has been a Director of the Company since September 2013.
Michael P. Kelly
Michael P. Kelly has served as a director at Adept Technology, Inc. from April 1997 to October 22, 2015, and also served as Chairman of the Board of Adept from November 2008 to October 22, 2015. Mr. Kelly has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Merchant bank, Kinsale Associates, Inc., since October 2005. From July 2005 to October 2005, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Cape Semiconductor Inc., a fabless semiconductor company. From 1994 to 2005, Mr. Kelly held the positions of Vice-Chairman and Senior Managing Director of Broadview International, LLC, an international merger and acquisitions advisory firm and a division of Jefferies Inc. Additionally, he has served as a director of Epicor Software Corporation (EPIC), a provider of enterprise business software solutions, since September 2005. Mr. Kelly received a B.A. in Accounting from Western Illinois University, an M.B.A. from St. Louis University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Kelly has been a director of the Company since October 2014.
Barry A. Rudolph
Barry A. Rudolph began his career in January 1978. He has held numerous senior level positions with IBM in a variety of functional areas, including operations, engineering, product development, test and assurance, program management, field support and direct manufacturing until his retirement in November 2010. Most recently he was Vice President, System Networking, with responsibility for delivering overall networking product strategy, portfolio management and profit and loss management over each of the products in the group. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Rudolph was Vice President, Strategy and Stack Integration for IBM Storage, responsible for establishing the overall strategy, driving all decisions on portfolio investments for the storage business and integrating with other areas within IBM including IBM’s Global Services and Software organizations. Prior positions Mr. Rudolph held include Vice President for IBM’s Disk, SAN & NAS Storage Systems where he was responsible for all aspects of the Disk, SAN and NAS storage business within IBM, including profit and loss, product portfolio investments, go-to-market strategy and execution and customer support. He has also held an identical role with responsibility for IBM’s tape business. For 3 Years, Mr. Rudolph served as an independent director, member of the compensation committee and governance and nominating committee for Dot Hill Systems. In July 2014, Mr. Rudolph was named CEO of VelociData, Inc., a firm that specializes in high-performance data transformation and process offload in large corporations. He is also a current independent director for Spectra Logic, a provider of innovative solutions for archival and deep storage to enable data for analytics. Mr. Rudolph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Bill Miller is the CEO of X-IO Technologies with over 35 years of experience as a venture investor, entrepreneur, sales executive and engineer. During his time at X-IO Technologies, Mr. Miller has overseen a business transformation which has included new product lines, streamlining operations, achieving sustainable profitability, raising new investment capital, and strengthening the company’s financial position. Bill Miller is also a managing partner of Miller Investments LLC and was the co-founder and CTO of StorageNetworks, the original cloud data storage services company.
Mr. Miller is a supporter of many charitable initiatives in the areas of economic empowerment, science and technology, and the environment. He holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, attended the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management MBA program, and holds several technology patents.
